Heralded as one of the Midwest's most esteemed art shows, the 45th annual Green Lake Fine Arts Show takes place August 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and August 13 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The event is held at beautiful Playground Park, and there is no admission.

Discover something for every taste and budget as you stroll through the exhibit area and discuss with the artists what inspires them. Be sure to ask about the creative process, how long it takes to create each piece, and how long they've been honing their skills.

There is an incredible array of fine art, craft, and gift items. You'll find a little of everything: oil paintings, sculptures, watercolors, ceramics, photography, metalwork, glass, wood, jewelry, and mixed media. The show offers a rare opportunity to purchase a one-of-a-kind work of art after personally meeting the artist who created it.

The event showcases over 100 booths displaying the work of hand-picked artisans and craftspeople. Each year, over 600 artists apply to exhibit their work, but only those who meet the rigorous selection criteria are invited to participate in the show.

Organizers Ali and Mike Rossberg are following in the footsteps of their late father, Guy Rossberg, who spearheaded this event for over 30 years. They've assembled an experienced selection committee and chosen to implement a 40 percent exhibit turnover rate, ensuring a unique experience for the visitors who look forward to coming back year after year.

Refreshments are available from several vendors both days of the show. There's also live music to complement the visual art on display. To complete the whole experience, the park will be in full bloom and Mill Pond will serve as the perfect backdrop for this celebration of creativity.
