Ahoy mateys! It’s time to weigh anchor and set sail with a pirate adventure you won’t want to miss. Welcome to Green Lake County and “arrr” Fair. Thar be treasures and grub for ye all who attend August 3 through 6 in downtown Green Lake, and free admission and parking. The 2017 Green Lake County Fair will hold fun events based on the pirate theme, and fairgoers will be able to pillage, plunder, and loot for treasures.

There is something for everyone, from educational programming to music, and agriculture education to fascinating exhibits by county youth and adults. And don’t forget the livestock judging leading up to the Livestock Auction on Friday. Food vendors will provide visitors with great experiences at affordable prices, and excitement awaits on the midway with more food and carnival rides. The Fair will host truck/tractor pulls and a Demolition Derby. An admission fee applies to track events.

The Fair showcases the county’s youth and adults who plan all year for the Fair entries. The youth work on projects to expand their skills and knowledge and share what they’ve learned with fair-goers through conversation and exhibits.

Oversight is done by the county’s UW–Extension Office and the Green Lake County Board of Supervisors, along with assistance from many volunteers. Support for the Fair is shown through the Community Involvement Program, which includes area service organizations, individuals, and businesses.
