If you are longing for fun and easy summer gatherings each week, Wednesday night just became your favorite evening! Head to Concerts in the Park, sponsored by the Green Lake Chamber of Commerce, on the Starlight Stage in Deacon Mills Park, at 499 South Street in Green Lake.

Save the dates for your midweek summer nights and savor time at the lake with friends, family, and live music. These free, family-friendly events run all summer long, from June 13 through August 15, and the bands typically perform from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. For many concertgoers, the annual highlight is Family Picnic Night in mid-July, where a stellar band brings people to their feet, wooing guests to return year after year.

Gather your picnic blankets and lawn chairs, and settle in for great evenings of community entertainment reflecting a welcome variety of music genres, including jazz, polka, folk, Cajun, country, marching bands, and rock. You may be tempted to clap along, sing in harmony, tap a toe, and dance the night away. Be sure to also bring your camera to instigate laughter, share stories, and capture memories that will last a lifetime.

Many people stop at a local business on the way to pick up dinner, ice cream, or other summer treats, but refreshments are also available in the park, with the profits supporting future concert series.
